Bafflegab Productions are looking for a brilliant, innovative Audio Producer to produce a fun new TV companion podcast for BBC Sounds.
We’re producing a new podcast for BBC Sounds, part of the ‘Inside…’ strand. We’ll be making 7-10 episodes, and recording in November/December.
This is a part-time freelance job, to start pre-production in mid/late October, running through to Jan/Feb.
We’re looking for an experienced, unflappable producer who can plan, produce and edit the shows, but also contribute creatively to the series and get the best from the talent involved.
We need someone who can:
• Manage the production schedule of the show
• Book guests, presenter and studio
• Write presenter scripts and interview questions
• Manage the recording sessions and presenter
• Edit the recordings to deliver to sound designer
• Coordinate with sound designer to deliver finished product
We need the producer to possess:
• Previous experience in producing an entertainment podcast or radio show
• Proficiency in running live recording sessions and directing the conversation
• Great writing skills. We need someone who can write funny, pacy scripts
• Ability to generate strong creative ideas and contribute to feature ideas
• Good organisational skills and self-motivated
• Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail
• Brilliant audio editing skills
• Experience of dealing with talent, and talent agents
• Basic media law awareness
• An understanding of podcasting and what makes a successful podcast
The role will be split between working from home and attending occasional recording sessions in a central London studio.
