Set more than a year after the events of Season 1. Paula Beyer is suspended from duty. While she is trying to adjust to her new life as a civilian, she remains convinced that the case was never solved.

But when police chief Gerhard Ritter disappears without a trace and Paula’s name appears at the scene of the crime, her superior Müller has no choice but to send her back to the small town.

Paula is finally pushed to find out who is behind all this – and what really happened in the city over 30 years ago.
