FAQ

Why am I being charged European Union VAT (Value Added Tax) for my downloads?

The European Union requires online retailers to charge VAT on digital goods sold to buyers located within the EU. Our online shop, Bandcamp, automatically determines your location and, when appropriate, adds the proper amount of tax to the transaction. Bandcamp then remits the tax to the EU.

Where do I download my purchase?

You can download your purchases from three places: on the download page you’re directed to after finishing the checkout process, from the links we email to you at the time of sale, and from fan account collection pages.

Which format should I download?

The default download format is MP3. You can also download in FLAC, ALAC (Apple Lossless), AAC, Ogg Vorbis, WAV and AIFF formats.

How do I unzip my album download?

When you download an album, it arrives on your computer in a compressed format called zip. Before you can add it to your library and listen to it, you’ll need to decompress, or “unzip” it. If you’re on a Mac, double-click the file. If you’re on a PC, right-click the file and choose Extract All.

I pre-ordered an album, and it's now been released, but I still haven't received my link to the full download

Make sure the email isn’t sitting in your spam folder. Next, look for the original receipt for your pre-order – the link in that email can be used to get the full album. If you’re still out of luck, please contact Bandcamp Support

Which payment methods are accepted in the Online Shop?

We accept payment by PayPal. Signing up for a PayPal account allows you to pay using your bank account, credit card, or PayPal balance. If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can still complete your purchase with PayPal using “Guest Checkout”. After clicking “Checkout” on Bandcamp, look for the “don’t have a PayPal account?” option on PayPal’s details page, then enter your credit card information.

How secure is shopping in the Bafflegab shop? Is my data protected?

Credit card payments made through Bandcamp are encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS), and credit card information is held in a PCI compliant environment.

How do I see the cost of shipping to my location?

To change your location, click the currency name in the Buy Now dialog or shopping cart, then select your country from the drop-down list. We’ll remember your setting for future purchases, too.

How long will delivery take?

We normally despatch by 48-hour delivery but please allow time for order processing and packing. It is unlikely but from order to delivery could take up to 7 days.

Still have a problem?

For physical orders, please drop us a line at sales@bafflegab.co.uk For digital orders, take a look at www.bandcamp.com/troubleshooting

I've got a great idea for an audio series. Can I send you my script?

I’m afraid we aren’t accepting submissions at the current time.
